If you want to kill or stun vertebrates as pests on a commercial basis, you need a permit from the competent authority under animal protection law before you start your activity. In order to obtain a permit, you must attach to your application, among other things, certificates of competence of the persons who intend to kill or stun the animals.

• Certificates of competence for persons who wish to kill or anaesthetise vertebrate animals
• Sketch of the place of activity and description of the rooms and facilities used for the activity
• Certificate of good conduct
• Information from the Central Trade Register

Procedural costs

• for the issue of the certificate of competence: EUR 18.00 per quarter of an hour

To obtain a permit for the commercial killing or stunning of vertebrate animals:

• submit the required documents and the application for a permit to the competent body.
• The competent body then checks the documents and the requirements.
