If health impairments occur after a vaccination that go beyond the usual extent of a vaccination reaction, a doctor, preferably the vaccinating doctor, should be consulted immediately and the public health department informed. Serious health problems following a vaccination are very rare events.
Anyone who suffers damage to their health as a result of a publicly recommended vaccination or another publicly recommended measure of specific prophylaxis can submit an application for social compensation benefits in accordance with the Social Code Book Fourteenth - Social Compensation - (SGB XIV) to the Saxony Municipal Social Association.
The completed forms must be submitted
- Application for care for injured persons in accordance with the Infection Protection Act (IfSG)
- Report on suspected cases of damage to health beyond the usual extent of a vaccination reaction (suspected vaccination complication) in accordance with the IfSG (Annex 2)

- Fever below 39.5 °C (when measured rectally), headache and aching limbs, fatigue, malaise, nausea, restlessness, swelling of the regional lymph nodes
- "Vaccination sickness" (one to three weeks after vaccination), for example measles or varicella-like skin symptoms
