Are you the parent of three children or do you live alone with two children? Then you can apply for the Family Pass of the Free State of Saxony. The family pass is granted regardless of income and allows free admission to state institutions such as museums, collections, castles and palaces.

Restrictions apply to special exhibitions. Please enquire at the respective institution before your visit.
- Identity card or passport of the applying parent
- Proof of the children entitled to child benefit (example: certificate from the family benefits office)
- in the case of disabled children, also the severely disabled person's pass
- permanent residence in Saxony
- Families (married couple or cohabiting couple) with at least three children for whom they receive child benefit and with whom they live in the same household
- Single parents who live with at least two children entitled to child benefit in the same household
- Families with a severely disabled child entitled to child benefit whose degree of disability is 50 per cent or more
You can apply for the family pass at your city or municipal administration.

- Once your documents have been successfully checked, the family pass will be sent to you by post
The city or municipal administration can issue the family pass until the end of the calendar year after next. This does not apply if a child turns 18 during this period. In this case, you must have the entitlement re-established each calendar year.
