Degrees from vocational schools and technical colleges in other federal states that are not valid nationwide can be recognised by the Saxon State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs as equivalent to a Saxon vocational school or technical college degree on application.

The following documents must be enclosed with the application:

• a certified copy of the school leaving certificate from the vocational school
• in the case of a change of name, proof of this (e.g. marriage certificate)
• a complete curriculum vitae in table form, signed by the applicant's own hand, with details of schooling and vocational training
