The Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony assumes the honorary godparenthood for multiples from triplets onwards at the request of the legal guardians (usually the parents). By taking on the sponsorship, the Free State of Saxony recognises the special challenges for the family that result from a multiple birth.

With the sponsorship, a grant in the form of a one-off subsidy of EUR 3,000 is also awarded. The purpose of the grant is to cover the special expenses arising from the birth of triplets, which are not included in the normal expenses for securing a livelihood. Obligations for the honorary sponsor arising from the sponsorship are excluded.

Note: The grant is in addition to the parental allowance and possible support for triplet births from funds of the foundation "Hilfe für Familien, Mutter und Kind".

• Send the completed and signed application form together with the other required documents to the Youth Welfare Office.
• The Youth Welfare Office will forward your application to the Saxony Municipal Social Association, which will decide on your application. You will receive a written decision.
