Hilfen für Familien in Not

Families in financial need - caused by a serious event or a chain of unfortunate circumstances - can receive financial assistance from the "Help for Families, Mother and Child" foundation. The foundation's benefits are intended to maintain or secure the family's livelihood.

One-off support is possible for multiple births of triplets or more.

Please note:

• Financial assistance from the foundation is earmarked for a specific purpose and can be granted on a case-by-case basis according to the emergency situation.
• The support is income-dependent, the extent depends on the specifics of the individual case.
• Financial support from the foundation is a voluntary service; there is no legal entitlement.

• Families or single parents with at least one child or with disabled relatives or relatives in need of care as well as pregnant women
  Permanent residence in the Free State of Saxony
• Need (e.g. economic hardship)
• All statutory benefits to which you are entitled have been prioritised and additional assistance is required.

You can apply for benefits from the "Hilfe für Familien, Mutter und Kind" foundation at one of the points of contact listed above. There you will also receive personalised advice and help with completing the application.

• You can obtain the applications from the respective points of contact.
• Describe the emergency situation in the application and explain your income and financial circumstances.
• State what other assistance has already been utilised or to what extent you have tried to do so.
• With your signature, you confirm the accuracy of the information you have provided and give written authorisation for your details to be checked.
• You submit the application together with the necessary supporting documents to the point of contact. The information will be checked there and your documents will be forwarded to the Foundation's head office with a corresponding decision proposal.
• The Foundation's office will inform you in writing whether and to what extent your application has been approved and will pay out the funds.
