Landwirtschaft: Betriebsprämie

The single farm payment from the EU agricultural reform is an income support for farmers. The main purpose of this payment is to provide farmers with a more stable income. This allows you to decide what you want to produce in response to demand without losing the subsidies.

Every holder of an agricultural holding is entitled to direct payments, irrespective of his production and as a supplementary benefit to his income. However, there are special support schemes for durum wheat, protein crops, rice, nuts, energy crops, potato starch, dairy products, seeds, arable crops, sheepmeat and goatmeat, beef, grain legumes, cotton, tobacco and hops.

The Offices for Agriculture, Land Reorganisation and Forestry are responsible for the single farm payments. The supervisory authority is the State Administration Office.
