§ 15 paragraph 1 - 3 and 5 as well as § 16 Federal Hunting Act (BJagdG)

If the validity of your youth hunting license expires or has already expired and you wish to continue hunting, you must have it renewed.

If you wish to hunt in Germany, but you are not yet 18 years old, you can only be issued a youth hunting license in your name. If you already have a hunting license but its validity has expired, you can apply for an extension.

You can submit the application in writing or online, if available.

If you submit the application in writing, fill it out and submit it by mail or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the supporting documents to be submitted will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a youth hunting license.

The day hunting license is valid for 14 consecutive days.

The youth hunting license only entitles the holder to hunt in the company of a custodial person or a supervisor appointed in writing by the custodial person; the accompanying person must be experienced in hunting.

The youth hunting license does not entitle the holder to participate in social hunts.
