Since 2015, all parents who place their child in a day care centre (KiTa) for the first time have been obliged to submit proof of vaccination counselling. In an amendment in 2017, the management of the children's institution was authorized and obliged to transmit the personal data for the children who do not have an age-appropriate vaccination status to the health authorities.
Vaccination advice can be provided by appointment with general practitioners/paediatricians or in the Department of Health, Department of Child and Adolescent Health. According to the Infection Protection Act § 34, Abs.10a, the FB Gesundheit can invite parents to an information meeting.
The contact persons responsible for the respective KiTa for vaccination advice in the Health Department can be found in the form "Contact person for vaccination advice KiTa in the Department of Health."
