If you want to cut down a tree or other woody plant between March and September, you need a special permit.

During the period between March 1 and September 30, it is prohibited to cut down trees and other woody plants. It is also forbidden to put them on the stock. You may cut trees and other woody plants then only for maintenance. If you have to cut down a tree during this period, for example because it impairs traffic safety, you will need an exceptional permit.
