To operate a mobile shooting range, you need a permit.

If you operate a mobile facility that serves the shooting sport or other shooting exercises with firearms, the testing of firearms or shooting with firearms for amusement (shooting range) or want to change significantly in its nature or in the way in which it is used, you need a permit from the competent weapons authority.

Shooting ranges in closed rooms do not require a permit for shooting exclusively for the purpose of testing firearms or ammunition by weapons or ammunition manufacturers, weapons or ammunition experts or by scientific institutions.

In the case of mobile shooting ranges, a one-time permit before the first installation is sufficient.

The shooting range must be inspected by the competent authority with regard to the safety requirements before it is put into operation for the first time. For this purpose, an expert opinion of a recognized shooting range expert can also be obtained at the expense of the person operating the company.

• Identity card or passport (copy)
• Opinion of the local police station
• Proof of need, if applicable
• Proof of the existence of liability insurance and accident insurance for shooting shops subject to fairground liability
• Any necessary permits or orders in accordance with construction or immission control regulations and corresponding acceptance
• If applicable, safety report of a shooting range expert

Permission may only be granted if the applicant

• the required reliability, and
• has personal aptitude and
• proof of insurance against liability and against accidents related to the operation of the shooting range.

There must also be a permit and acceptance for flying structures.

Permission must be applied for before commencing use.
