You cast your vote on a ballot paper. You will receive this from the election board when you enter the polling station. With the ballot paper you then go individually to the
Polling booth. There you mark your desired list nomination with a cross or otherwise. Then fold the ballot paper so that your identification cannot be recognized.
The secretary of the electoral board will then check whether you are listed on the voters' register, if necessary after you have presented your election notification or your ID card on request. If this is the case, you can put your ballot paper in the ballot box. The secretary then notes that you have cast your vote.
The European elections will be conducted as follows:
- Voter enters the polling station, assessor or assessor issues ballot papers,
- Voters mark and fold ballot papers in the polling booth,
- Voters come to the voting table with a folded ballot paper,
- The electoral board checks eligibility to vote on the basis of the voters' register (if necessary on presentation of an identity document),
- Voter throws folded ballot paper into the ballot box.
