The commissioning of new evaporative cooling systems, cooling towers and wet separators is subject to notification, as well as changes and decommissioning of plants as well as changes of operator.
As the operator of a new plant, you are obliged to notify the competent authority of it no later than one month after the initial filling with service water. Existing plants had to be reported by 20 August 2018. In addition, changes to the plant and a plant shutdown must be reported immediately, at the latest within one month. In the event of a change of operator, the new operator must notify the competent authority of this change immediately, but at the latest within one month.
The display is made via the "Cadastre for the Detection of Evaporative Cooling Systems 42. BImSchV – KaVKA" .
In order to display an attachment, registration in the KaVKA-42.BV system is first required. After successful registration, the master data of the workplace (the location of the plant) and the plant can be recorded and the notification transmitted to the competent authority.

The operator of a new installation must notify the competent authority of this at the latest one month after the initial filling with service water.
