The Chambers of Commerce and Industry issue certificates of origin and other trade certificates for the export industry.

In some countries, customs authorities, banks or companies of the importing country require the presentation of so-called certificates of origin when importing goods and, if necessary, the submission of further commercial documents certified by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. A certificate of origin provides information about the place of origin of a product.

As an exporter, you can apply for the issuance of such a certificate of origin or the certificate of a commercial document, e.B a commercial invoice, at your locally responsible IHK.

Applications can be submitted in person, by post or electronically to the Service Center of your Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The registration for the electronic procedure at the responsible IHK takes place by your e-mail request and transmission of a registration code.

The IHK checks the correctness of the information and then issues the document promptly. There is a fee for the issuance or certification. This is based on the fee catalogue of the respective IHK.

Proof of the origin of the goods. Proofs of origin can be.B, for example:

• Self-declaration on the production of the goods in our own company
• Certificates of origin from another Chamber of Industry and Commerce
• Certificates of origin Form A (from developing countries)
• Preferential movement certificates EUR
• Preferential declarations of origin according to format requirements from EU Free Trade Agreements
• Supplier declarations in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2015/2447
