Would you like to give up your position as an authorized district chimney sweep?ogistered district chimney sweep? To do so, you must contact the competent authority.

Authorized district chimney sweeps who wish to give up their position can apply to the competent authority to have their appointment revoked. The district chimney sweep must then apply for deletion from the Register of Craftsmen and, if necessary, deregister his/her trade if the entire activity is to be discontinued.

The competent authority may terminate the appointment as an authorized district chimney sweep at the request of the person concerned.

However, it ends at the latest at the end of the month in which the appointed person reaches the age of 67.

The appointment must be terminated at the request of the authorized district chimney sweep. Upon reaching the age limit, the appointment ends without an application.

According to current No. 110.1.4 of the AllGO LSA: between € 100.00 and € 200.00.

• Once you have submitted the application and all documents are complete, the competent authority will check whether you meet all the requirements.
• If you meet all the requirements, the competent authority will issue a notice releasing you from the position of authorized district chimney sweep.
• The competent authority must immediately notify the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control of the revocation of the appointment for the purposes of maintaining the chimney sweep register by the competent authority.

If the documents are complete, the application will be processed promptly.
