Would you like to offer state-regulated further training? Then you need state recognition.

Continuing education institutions that want to offer state-regulated continuing education require state recognition. Recognition is a prerequisite for funding by the state.

Your training centre must be recognised by the Ministry responsible for adult education. Only then may you carry out the further training in accordance with the respective continuing education ordinance.

The application for recognition must contain the following information and evidence.

• the name, legal form, legal representative, field of activity, name of the director, address and registered office of the institution,
• the training and professional career of the full-time director,
• the presentation of the spatial and material equipment of the facility,
• a confirmation by the competent tax authority of non-profit status, insofar as the institution is not a legal entity under public law,
• the articles of association or the shareholders' agreement of the institution,
• a declaration that changes to the information and evidence will be reported directly to the competent ministry in writing
• Proof of a minimum number of recognised lessons or participant days of 3,000 per year

In order to be recognised by the training centre, it must:

• have their registered office in the state of Saxony-Anhalt,

• have their field of activity mainly in the state of Saxony-Anhalt,
• serve exclusively or predominantly for adult education,

• are open to all,
• be a legal person or be supported by legal persons,
• have existed for at least 3 years and have proven their efficiency during this time,
• The management of the institution must be full-time. As a rule, the manager must have a scientific university degree. Exceptions to this are possible after a case-by-case examination, including in particular a completion of level 6 according to the German Qualifications Framework, taking into account professional experience in adult education.
• The institutions ensure high-quality educational work by maintaining a quality management system. This serves the continuous improvement of the organizational structure, the quality of the pedagogical processes, the educational infrastructure and personnel development. The recognised adult education institutions are obliged to prove the quality management system to the Ministry responsible for adult education every 4 years, for the first time on 01.12.2022. The evaluation can be carried out both externally and internally. The proof of the external evaluation must be documented in writing by a recognized certification body (certificate) and handed over to the ministry responsible for adult education.

You submit an informal application for recognition of the training centre.

• Submit all required documentation.
• The competent authority will check your documents.
• If the examination is successful, you will receive a recognition notice from the competent authority.

Currently, 30 regionally active institutions, 2 state-wide associations in the state of Saxony-Anhalt are recognized by the Ministry of Education Saxony-Anhalt.
