If you are interested in a study place in a degree programme with restricted admission, you must register at Hochschulstart and participate in the dialogue-oriented service procedure.
The number of prospective students in Germany exceeds the number of available
Study places. Through central coordination in the dialogue-oriented service procedure (DoSV), Hochschulstart ensures that each applicant receives only one study place and that all available study places are allocated.
Hochschulstart advises you comprehensively on questions regarding the allocation of study places.

If a university participates in the procedure, you must register at Hochschulstart, submit online applications via the portal and put them in a desired order. The applications will be forwarded to the universities, you may have to submit further documents to the universities. The universities rank the applicants.
