Supplementary schools are independent schools. They offer types of school and teaching content that the state school system does not know at all or does not know in the respective form.

For a supplementary school, you can apply for the status of a recognised school.

The Ministry of Education of Saxony-Anhalt can determine the maximum numbers of pupils in the classes or the corresponding organisational structures at a supplementary school. However, no higher requirements may be imposed than on comparable public schools.
