You must submit the results of the continuous measurements annually to the responsible authorities for review.

As the operator of a large combustion plant, gas turbine or internal combustion engine plant, you are obliged to continuously determine the emissions of certain air pollutants and certain operating parameters by means of continuous measurements in order to monitor the emissions of air pollutants and to assess proper operation. A measurement report on the results of the continuous measurements must be prepared for each calendar year and submitted to the competent authority for review by March 31 of the following year.

There are no fees.

The official requirements for carrying out the continuous measurements and submitting the measurement report are set out in the approval notice and the provisions of the Ordinance on Large Combustion, Gas Turbine and Internal Combustion Engine Plants.

In future, the measurement report is to be submitted via the online portal "EMBE-Online".

Measurement reports must be submitted to the competent authority for review by March 31 of the following year.

With regard to the contents of the measurement report on continuous measurements, reference is made to the BMU circular "Bundeseinheitliche Praxis bei der Überwachung der Emissionen" and the requirements for evaluation systems contained therein.

The content of the reports on functional tests and calibrations of measuring equipment for continuous measurements must meet the requirements of VDI Guideline 3950 Sheet 2.
