Nichtschülerprüfung beantragen

If you have left school without a degree or would like to obtain a higher education degree retrospectively, you can take a non-student examination under certain conditions.

The non-school examination (in Saxony-Anhalt non-student examination) allows you to take the Hauptschule, the Realschulabschluss, the extended Realschulabschluss or the Abitur ( not at vocational grammar schools) after your actual school time.

• Birth certificate or birth certificate
• Tabular CV, with complete data of your school visits
• Certified copy of the last annual certificate, graduation or departure certificate of the last school visited
• where applicable, a certified copy of professional qualifications
• Declaration that you are not attending a general or vocational school or evening class at a secondary school
• Proof of residence in Saxony-Anhalt
• Explanation of the preparations for each subject
• Explanation of the choice of written and oral examination subjects
• Explanation of whether and, if so, when and where you have already taken such an examination or parts of it without success and whether you have already registered for the same examination elsewhere
• if you are not yet of legal age: Declaration of consent of the legal guardian

• You are not a pupil of a general or vocational school or an evening class at a secondary school.

In order to take a non-student examination, submit an application to the Landesschulamt Sachsen-Anhalt.

• The school board decides on your application and informs you in writing.
• The examination takes place once a year.
• You will receive all the necessary information from the State Education Office of Saxony-Anhalt.
• The written and oral examinations are different depending on which degree you want to obtain.
• Once you have passed the examination, you will receive a certificate of the degree you have obtained, which contains the results of each examination subject.
• If you have not passed the exam, you will receive a certificate of the examination achievements.

Acquisition of the Hauptschule or Realschulabschluss: by 15 December of each year at the latest

Acquisition of the Abitur: by 1 February of each year at the latest

The non-student examination allows interested parties to take part in the Hauptschule under certain conditions. take the Realschulabschluss,  the extended Realschulabschluss or the Abitur ( not at vocational grammar schools) after their actual school days. For this purpose, an application must be submitted to the State Education Office of Saxony-Anhalt and it must be prepared independently for the respective examination.
