Students are entitled to a certificate at the end of the school year and at the end of the school year as well as when leaving school. In it, the written, oral and practical achievements are evaluated or the degree achieved is notarized. Pupils who leave school without a degree receive a leaving certificate for the last school year they attended. Graduation certificates enable students to attend further school or vocational training courses.

Students' achievements can be assessed in text form, by grades (grades 1 to 6) or by scoring points (0 to 15 points). The form of the performance assessment is determined by the decision of the class conference.

Performance certificates serve as a performance evaluation and as a basis for advice for further support and learning planning.

In order to obtain a performance evaluation, regular attendance at a school institution is required.

Objection to school decisions, such as the admission or dismissal of pupils, transfer decisions, examination decisions or regulatory measures, must first be lodged with the school.

Only if the school does not remedy the objection can an objection be submitted to the Landesschulamt as the school supervisory authority.

If the Landesschulamt rejects the objection, a written action may be brought before the competent administrative court.
