As a health supervisor, you are responsible for monitoring hygiene standards in various facilities such as clinics or grocery stores. It is a recognised training occupation. Currently, training in Saxony-Anhalt is not possible.

However, if you have already completed training in a health profession and have gained professional experience, you can complete further training as or as a hygiene officer in nursing. For this purpose, you will receive a certificate if you pass the final examination. With this certificate, you are entitled to work as a hygiene specialist.

• Proof of state recognition under the Nursing Act or Midwifery Act
• Proof of several years of professional experience

You can take part in further training as a hygiene officer if

• You  have previously obtained state recognition under the Nursing Act or midwifery law
• and have several years of professional experience.

Course fees are due for further training.

Further training in this area is offered by various service providers.
