In the case of a construction project subject to approval, you as the design author entitled to submit a building template bear a high degree of responsibility. Both the building application and the building templates (for example, construction drawings and calculations) must be signed by you and submitted to the approval authority. To do this, you must be able to assess whether all building law and other requirements have been complied with.

Anyone who is entitled to a building template

• may use the professional title of architect;
• is entered in the list of persons entitled to submit building proposals maintained by the Chamber of Engineers (these may also be engineers who are not members of the Chamber);
• may use the professional title of interior designer for the structural modifications of buildings associated with the professional task of the interior designer, or
• may use the professional title of engineer in the fields of architecture, building construction or civil engineering, has worked as an engineer for at least two years and is an employee of a legal person under public law, for the official activity.

• Proof of graduation
• Proof of required professional experience (including object list)
• in the case of self-employed persons, proof of professional indemnity insurance

A personal appearance is not necessary.
