Anerkennung als Privathochschule beantragen

If you want to run a private university in Saxony-Anhalt, you must first have it recognized. Recognition is the basis for the designation as a university. Only then can university examinations be taken and degrees awarded.

If a university has already been recognized within the European Union, this does not have to be done again in Saxony-Anhalt. However, a notification must be made and the recognition submitted.

The documents do not need to be available at the time of the initial application. The responsible department will then inform you in detail which documents are required.

Administrative fees are charged for recognition, which are calculated according to the time required. In addition, costs are incurred for institutional accreditation with the German Council of Science and Humanities and for accreditation of the degree programs by the accreditation authorities.

No deadlines need to be observed.

A non-state educational institution requires state recognition as a higher education institution in order to be able to use a corresponding designation, take higher education examinations and award higher education degrees or comparable designations.
