§ Section 8 (1) of the Dog Law for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landeshundegesetz - LHundG NRW)
Dogs that may only be kept with a permit from the authorities must be deregistered with the authorities if, for example, they die or are surrendered.
As soon as the dog has died or is no longer owned or possessed by the permit holder, this must be reported to the authorities (deregistration).
