As a resident, you can apply for a resident parking permit for your vehicle. This is only valid for specially designated zones.

In some residential areas, especially in larger cities, parking over a longer period of time or without using a parking permit is only permitted with a resident parking permit. The resident parking permit does not guarantee a parking space.

• Vehicle registration certificate or registration certificate part I
• Current confirmation of registration
• Certificate of use if you are not the vehicle owner
• Power of attorney if you are applying for a resident parking permit as a representative for another person

• You are registered in the residents' parking area and you actually live there.
• The vehicle is registered to you or you use the vehicle permanently. (If the vehicle is registered to another owner, you will need confirmation from the owner that the vehicle has been given to you for permanent use).

Note: The municipalities may make the issuing of the permit dependent on further requirements (e.g. main residence, lack of garage). You should therefore find out about the requirements from the relevant authority.

Once you have submitted or uploaded all the documents, the resident parking permit will be sent to you or you must collect it. If you apply online, you can print it out directly at home.

Parking spaces for people with disabilities are exempt from this regulation.
