The public announcement of certain intermediate steps in the insolvency proceedings informs the groups of persons affected and provides formal proof of service.
The public announcement of certain intermediate steps in the insolvency proceedings has two main objectives:
- Firstly, all persons whose interests are affected by the opening and progress of the insolvency proceedings should be informed.
- Secondly, the public announcement suffices as proof of service on the parties involved.
Among other things, the following must be publicly announced
- Opening, discontinuation or termination of the insolvency proceedings
- Order or termination of self-administration
- Time, place and agenda of the creditors' meeting (convocation)
- Appointment of a provisional insolvency administrator
- Order or revocation of certain restrictions on disposal
- Notification of insufficiency of assets
- Refusal of discharge of residual debt
