§ Section 26 (1) to (3) of the Radiation Protection Act (StrlSchG)
If a company sends its employees to work in other companies and the employees may receive more than 1 mSv (effective dose) from the source or X-ray equipment there in a calendar year, then the external company (to which the employees are sent) is a "foreign X-ray facility or foreign source" (Section 26 of the Radiation Protection Act, StrlSchG).
The sending company must notify the competent authority of the employment in the external X-ray facility and requires radiation protection officers with the appropriate specialist knowledge.
Holders of a permit for employment requiring approval in third-party facilities or equipment in accordance with Section 25 (1) StrlSchG are exempt from the notification requirement.

The requirements are met if:
1. a police clearance certificate of document type O (authority clearance certificate) must be applied for from the competent registration authorities for the person responsible for radiation protection (applicant or legal representative of the applicant in the case of legal entities) and for the radiation protection officer. The certificates of good conduct that are sent directly to the competent authority must be marked as follows:

2. the written appointment of the radiation protection officer by the person responsible for radiation protection, stating the internal decision-making area of the radiation protection officer in the applicant's company.
3. proof of the radiation protection officer's specialist knowledge in radiation protection by submitting a certificate of specialist knowledge (specialist knowledge group R9/R10 (if S5 specialist knowledge is available, the RG module must be completed again)).
4. a radiation protection instruction which, in addition to the instructions, ensures that the persons under supervision have the necessary knowledge of possible radiation hazards and the protective measures to be applied.
- The radiation protection instructions must contain the following points in particular:
- The establishment of a plan for the organization of radiation protection, taking into account instruction, medical supervision, the maintenance of radiation passports and the use of the necessary dosimeters.
- The regulation of operating procedures essential for radiation protection.
The regular functional testing and maintenance of equipment, installations and other devices that are essential for radiation protection, insofar as they are provided by the applicant, and the keeping of records thereof.

An employee leasing agreement is another option, provided that appropriate regulations regarding radiation protection and the authority to issue instructions are stipulated therein.
6. no concerns about reliability
There are no concerns about the reliability of the person obliged to report, their legal representative or, in the case of legal entities, the persons authorized to represent them or the radiation protection officer
- Before working in connection with the operation of third-party X-ray equipment or sources of interference, all necessary evidence must be submitted to the competent authority.
