If you are placed in domestic quarantine or banned from working as a result of an official measure under the Infection Protection Act and suffer a loss of earnings as a result, you are generally entitled to compensation for the loss of earnings incurred.
In the event of a threat to their livelihood, those entitled to compensation may also be reimbursed by the competent authority to an appropriate extent for the additional expenses incurred during the loss of earnings.
Payment and application are made in writing to the competent authority.
The application for compensation must be submitted retroactively within 2 years of the start of the ban on work or the end of the quarantine.
