§ Section 7c (PSP) in conjunction with Section 7a (care advice) of the German Social Code XI (SGB XI).
A care support point (PSP) is a local contact point for people in need of care and their relatives, as close to home as possible.
The care support points act as a guide. They provide information on the wide range of services available for people in need of care and their relatives. They also provide information and advice on benefits from the social security systems.
The staff at a care support point know almost all the care, assistance, advice and other support services available in their catchment area. They coordinate and network these diverse services.
The care support points involve self-help and voluntary work by citizens as well as church and social institutions and organizations.
