You must notify us at least 6 weeks in advance of the construction, decommissioning or significant modification of a slurry, liquid manure and silage leachate plant (JGS plant).

If you have a

• silage leachate storage facility with a volume of more than 25 cubic meters,
• any other JGS facility with a total volume of more than 500 cubic meters, or
• a facility for the storage of solid manure or silage with a volume of more than 1,000 cubic meters, you must notify the competent authority.

• Completed notification form
• Detailed documents describing the project (site plan, drawings, certificates, descriptions)
• Expert opinion, if applicable

You provide the necessary documents to prove that your system complies with the requirements of the Ordinance on Systems for Handling Substances Hazardous to Water (AwSV).

• You fill out the forms required for the notification and send them to the lower water authority by post or email or use the online service for the application.
• In either case, the authority will check your documents for completeness and request any missing information or documents.
• In addition, the content requirements will be checked, which may also result in additional claims.
• If there are no objections, your application data will be entered into the authority's specialist procedure.

You must notify the competent authority in writing or online at least six weeks in advance.

• Notification of the construction, significant modification or decommissioning of a slurry, liquid manure and silage leachate plant Acceptance
• If a plant for the storage of silage slurry
  • with a volume of more than 25 cubic meters,
  • another JGS facility with a total volume of more than 500 cubic meters or
  • a facility for the storage of solid manure or silage with a volume of more than 1,000 cubic meters is to be constructed, decommissioned or significantly modified, the operator must notify the competent authority in writing or online at least six weeks in advance.
• This does not apply to the construction of facilities,
  • which require approval in individual cases in accordance with other legislation or
  • have obtained such approval, provided that the approval also ensures compliance with the requirements of this Ordinance.
