If you are a foreigner wishing to hunt in Germany and have not passed a German hunting examination, you must carry a foreigner's hunting license in your name. You must apply for this.
If you are a foreign national and wish to hunt in Germany, you will need a German hunting license in your name. If you do not provide proof of a German hunting examination, you can apply for an annual hunting license for foreigners under certain conditions.
The annual hunting license must be presented to the hunting protection authorities and police officers on request.

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.
If you submit the application in writing, complete it and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.
The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.
If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a hunting license for foreigners.
The annual hunting license is valid for a maximum of three consecutive hunting years. The hunting year begins on 01.04. and ends on 31.03..
