If you are a foreigner wishing to hunt in Germany and have not passed a German hunting examination, you must carry a foreigner's hunting license in your name. You must apply for this.
If you are a foreign national and wish to hunt in Germany, you will need a German hunting license in your name. If you do not provide proof of a German hunting examination, you can only apply for a day hunting license for foreigners.

The annual hunting license must be shown to the hunting permit holders and police officers on request.
