If you wish to hunt as a young person, you must carry a youth hunting license in your name and present it to the police officers and the hunting permit holders on request.
If you would like to hunt in Germany but are not yet 18 years old, you can only be issued a youth hunting license in your name (minimum age 16). To obtain a youth hunting license for the first time, you need proof that you have passed a hunting examination in Germany.
With a youth hunting license, you may only hunt when accompanied by a guardian with hunting experience or a supervisor with hunting experience authorized in writing by your guardian(s).

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.
If you submit the application in writing, complete it and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.
The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.
If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a youth hunting license.
The annual hunting license is valid for a maximum of two consecutive hunting years. The hunting year begins on 01.04. and ends on 31.03.
