If you are a young foreigner wishing to hunt in Germany and have not passed a German hunting examination, you must carry a foreigner's hunting license in your name.
If you are a foreign national and would like to hunt in Germany but are not yet 18 years old, you can only be issued a foreign youth hunting license in your name If you do not provide proof of a German hunting examination, you can only apply for a day hunting license.

If you submit the application in writing, complete it and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.
The application and the supporting documents to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.
If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued with a youth hunting license for foreigners.
- With a youth hunting license, you may only hunt if accompanied by a guardian with hunting experience or a supervisor with hunting experience authorized in writing by your guardian(s).
- The youth hunting license for foreigners must be presented to the hunting protection officers and police officers on request.
- With a youth hunting license you are not allowed to participate in social hunts.
