GAK funds are to be used in particular to support smaller broadband infrastructure projects at local or district level.

The following required documents / evidence must be enclosed with the application:

• Network plans (mapping documents)
• Overview of locations
• Proof of missing/insufficient broadband coverage
• Proof of the market exploration procedure
• Project cost calculation

• They must not yet have started implementing the project.
• Eligible areas are places and districts within the "Regional Rural Development 2023-2027" that are supplied with a lower downstream transmission rate (megabits per second, Mbit/s) than provided for in the applicable GAK framework plan.

There are no fees.

You submit the application online via the customer portal of Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen.

• The application is then checked by Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen (WIBank).
• If the outcome is positive, Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen (WIBank) will issue the funding approval.

There is no application deadline for this funding program.
