Do you want to carry out drilling or other earthworks? Then you must notify the competent authority in advance.
If you wish to carry out so-called earth excavations, you must notify the competent authority. Earth excavations are boreholes or other earthworks that reach so deep into the ground that they can affect the movement or quality of the groundwater. This can happen, for example, if soil layers are penetrated that protect the underlying groundwater from contamination.
The notification must be made before you start work.
Each borehole provides data for the assessment of the subsoil at the respective site. The notification enables the responsible authorities to gain an impression of the drilling project and the drilling material produced on site. The authorities can take additional measurements and ensure the quality of the drilling results. This prevents costly mistakes in underground spatial planning.
The responsibility of the water authorities is determined by the location of the planned drilling points.
If your request is a notification, you may start your project if you have not heard from the authorities within one month
If your project requires approval, exemption or authorization under water law, you will receive a response within one month.
