The program promotes forestry projects in private and municipal forests.

Forestry projects in private and communal forests are funded as part of the forest development program.

The following is supported within this funding program:

• Soil-conserving timber harvesting

(4) Promotion of forestry infrastructure

• Forestry road construction
• Promotion of wood conservation facilities
• Calamities

• Reforestation

The cooperation partners are Hessian Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Agriculture and Consumer Protection; Darmstadt Regional Council, V52-Forsten, Hilperstraße 31, 64295 Darmstadt as well as the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany.

There are no costs for you with this promotion.

Applications must be submitted online via the Hessen agricultural portal.

There is no statutory processing deadline for the funding program.

The following support measures have two application deadlines per year, always on March 1 and September 1:

• A1 - New forest planting
• B2 - Forest conversion
• B3 - Maintenance of young stands
• B4 - Soil protection liming
• D1 - Road construction

Responsibility lies with the Darmstadt Regional Council - Department V 52 Forests.
