If you want to offer a course for activities with asbestos that require specialist knowledge, you must have the course recognized by the competent authority.

If you want to offer a course for one or more activities with asbestos that require specialist knowledge, you must have the course recognized by the competent authority.

These can also be trade-specific courses.

Recognition may be limited in time by the competent authority.

Teaching material or documents on the course concept of the course to be recognized, including the following:

• Course program with subject areas and breaks, identification of demonstrations and exercises
• Course content
• Timetable with details of the instructors for the teaching unit
• Proof of the speakers' qualifications
• Contents of the presentations as short contributions
• Information on the teaching material
• Description of the demonstrations and practical exercises
• Draft of a course certificate
• Sample exam with solutions and assessments
• Examination regulations
• Equipment of the course location and equipment for the practical exercises

• The course concept fulfills the requirements of the Hazardous Substances Ordinance, in particular § 8 paragraph 8 in conjunction with Annex I, No. 2.4.2, paragraph 3 (currently valid version).
• The content and scope of the training course meets the requirements of the technical regulations TRGS 519 of the Hazardous Substances Ordinance (asbestos).

Fees and expenses are incurred.

You can submit the recognition of an expert training course to the competent authority by e-mail or post. -

• You submit the required documents to the competent authority.
• The competent authority checks your documents and requests further information or documents if necessary.
• The competent authority grants or refuses recognition.

The date for the examination must be agreed with the responsible regional council three months in advance.

The legal remedy will be communicated in the notification.
