Förderprogramm „Starkes Dorf – Wir machen mit!“

Villages make Hessen strong! The state government supports committed villages with the "STARKES DORF - Wir machen mit!" funding program. Applicants can receive between 1,000 and 5,000 euros for activities to revitalize their village centers.

The "Strong village - We're in!" funding program supports projects that strengthen the social cohesion of a village in an exemplary manner, promote cooperation between generations and improve the quality of life and amenities in village centers. This can be the upgrading of a village square, the creation of a football pitch or the renovation of a bakery. It is important that everyone pitches in and that everyone can use the new facilities later on. Applications can be submitted by clubs, associations and other initiatives. However, local councils and individuals are not eligible to apply.

Projects can be funded with amounts between 1,000 and 5,000 euros. 500,000 euros are available each year.

• You must be an eligible applicant within the meaning of the funding guidelines
• Your project must not have been started yet
• Further requirements are queried as part of the online application due to technical input restrictions
• It is not possible to submit an application without meeting these requirements

There are no costs.

Funding applications can only be submitted online.

• You submit a funding application online and attach offers/cost estimates for items with a total gross amount of more than 1,000 euros.
• You must wait for funding approval before you can start your project.
• You call up the funding as required.
• Once you have completed your project, you submit a proof of use.

Funding must be drawn down by the end of the financial year in which it was approved.

After disbursement of the funding by the Hessian State Chancellery, the funds must be used for the intended purpose within two months.
