With this funding programme, the state of Hesse promotes and supports civic engagement in Hesse. The aim of the funding is to improve the framework conditions for civic engagement and to strengthen the existing culture of enablement and recognition.

Within the framework of the funding guideline, a maximum of 500,000 euros is available annually. Non-profit organisations (associations, foundations, companies), associations, volunteer agencies and local authorities as well as private initiatives with a non-profit organisation can apply for a maximum funding amount of up to 15,000 euros for a project. The Directive can support a wide range of activities, such as projects to attract new volunteers or to develop new types of volunteering, recognition events, training and further education events on the subject of volunteering, or the promotion of digitization measures in volunteering that are related to the external image of the organization. Within the framework of the maximum funding amount, multi-year funding is also possible, starting with the year in which the approval commitment was issued.

Applications for funding can only be submitted online.

• You fill out a grant application online and attach the required documents.
• You submit the online application and wait for the funding commitment.
• They call up the subsidies, possibly also in partial amounts.
• After that, you can start your project.
• After you've completed your project, provide a proof of use.
