The Regional Council of Giessen is the competent authority for the tasks according to § 82 (3) and (4) SGB XI in conjunction with the Ordinance on the Planning and Promotion of Care Facilities, Senior Meeting Places, Geriatric Care Schools and Model Projects. According to this, investment costs in subsidized geriatric care facilities must be approved by the Gießen Regional Council. Non-subsidised elderly care facilities only have to report these costs.
Inpatient and semi-inpatient facilities for geriatric care should contact the responsible regional council in Giessen.
