If you operate a veterinary medicine cabinet as a veterinarian, you must report this to the competent authority. This also applies to changes and discontinuation of the veterinary medicine cabinet.

Note: The operation of veterinary medicine dispensaries is personal. However, the operator can be represented by a veterinarian.

A certified copy of your veterinary license to practice medicine.

Forms for notifications of veterinary medicine dispensaries can be found on the homepage of the competent authority (e.g. via Environment & Consumers, Veterinary Affairs, Veterinary Medicines).

The fees are currently EUR 45.00 plus EUR 3.20 for each additional copy requested (as of June 2014).

You can make the notification in person or in writing to the competent authority, which will issue you with a pharmacy certificate. An officer will inspect the veterinary medicine cabinet during an on-site visit.
