If you or a data subject require information about your stored data in accordance with Section 23(1) of the Security Clearance Act, you can request this by submitting an informal application.

Pursuant to Section 23(1) of the Security Clearance Act, you may, upon request, obtain information about what data has been stored about you in the course of a security clearance.

The person concerned (security-checked person) alone is not entitled to information, but any person whose personal data has been stored as part of a security check, for example the person included, the reference and information persons, parents, employer or persons over the age of 18 living in the household of the person concerned who were specified in the security declaration.

The right to information does not apply without restriction; it may be waived under section 23(3) of the Security Clearance Act.

Furthermore, according to Section 23(2) Security Clearance Act, information on certain data can only be provided with the consent of the cooperating authority.
