If you want to organize commercial shows of people in your business premises or make your business premises available for their event, you need a permit for this.
If you want to hold a commercial event on your business premises for the exhibition of persons, such as striptease or table dancing, you need a permit for this.
Even if you want to make your business premises available for such an event, you need a corresponding permit.
It is generally only valid for the named room and the applicant personally.
Performances of a predominantly artistic, sporting, acrobatic or similar nature are exempt from the permit requirement.
It is not based on public events, so that performances in front of only one spectator, which require a permit, are also covered.
As a rule, permission to put people on display is granted for an unlimited period. However, it can also be granted for a limited period. If you wish to apply for an extension, the same conditions apply as for the initial granting of the permit.
The permit is bound to a person and a place. It can be granted for individual events, but also for regular events. The permit can be linked to conditions (also subsequently), insofar as this is necessary to protect the general public, guests or residents of the business premises or neighboring properties from danger, significant disadvantages or significant nuisances.

Requirements for the granting of permission are:
- You must have the reliability required for the business operation.
- The exhibitions must not be contrary to public morals.
- The business operation must not be contrary to the public interest with regard to its local location or the use of the premises, for example, if it would have harmful effects on the environment within the meaning of the Federal Immission Control Act (Bundes-Immissionsschutzgesetz) or otherwise give rise to fears of considerable disadvantages, dangers or nuisances for the general public.
Is based on the respective administrative fee regulations of the state or on the fee statutes of the bodies responsible under state law.
The permit must be granted before the start of operation, so a timely application is required.
The permit is deemed to have been granted if the authority has not made a decision on your application within a period of three months after receipt of the complete documents.
The permit expires if the holder has not started the operation within one year after it has been granted or has not operated it for a period of one year.
The permit is independent of any restaurant permit that may still be required.
Violation of the permit requirement and violation of an enforceable condition may be punished as an administrative offense with a fine; persistent repetition of the violation of the permit requirement may be punished as a misdemeanor with imprisonment or a fine.
