You can participate in the creation or amendment of a development plan.

For example, a development plan specifies the following for a building area,

  • how the land may be used,
  • which construction method the buildings must have,
  • what height the buildings may have.

The development plan also includes, for example

  • Plan drawing consisting of various plans and maps showing the exact spatial division of the area,
  • Reasons with, for example, details of the decisions and considerations, and
  • an environmental report with an assessment of the impact of the development plan on the environment.

As a citizen or company, you have the right to participate in

  • in the creation or amendment of a development plan or
  • of an urban land-use plan.

By participating, you can contribute to the planning process.

As a public authority or other public interest body, you will be asked by the responsible authority or the body responsible for the procedure to participate and submit your comments when an impact is identified.

Verfahrensablauf

You can participate as of the public announcement. You can participate as follows:

  • Opportunity for citizens, interest groups and companies to comment or
  • Opportunity to comment for authorities and public agencies

You can submit your statements or comments on the development plan in the following ways:

  • online,
  • by post,
  • orally or for the record at the competent authority or
  • orally during a public event

As a public authority or public interest body, you will be contacted by the responsible authority if you have been identified as being affected and asked to submit a statement.

The comments and statements received will be collected and examined by the competent authority after the deadline. The authority then weighs up all the comments and makes a decision on them. Private and public interests are taken into account. You will be informed of the result of the assessment.

The duration of the procedure is variable and depends on the scope of the comments and statements received.
