If you are a doctor and would like to apply for an authorization in accordance with the Compressed Air Ordinance, you can obtain this from the competent authority under certain conditions.
As an authorized doctor, you have the task of carrying out initial examinations, re-examinations and assessments as well as special medical supervision. You keep a health record for each person who is subject to your medical supervision.
- Application for authorization

Proof of
- your license to practice medicine,
- the area designation occupational medicine or additional designation occupational medicine,
- Your specialist knowledge of working with compressed air in accordance with the Compressed Air Ordinance (proof of a course with comparable content from certain GTÜM-certified courses),
- the necessary equipment, personnel and spatial requirements

You can prove that you
- have a license to practice medicine,
- have the professional title of occupational medicine or additional title of occupational medicine,
- have specialist knowledge of working with compressed air in accordance with the Compressed Air Ordinance (proof of a course with comparable content from certain GTÜM-certified courses)
- and meet the necessary equipment, personnel and spatial requirements.
You submit your application with the relevant documents and evidence to the competent authority.
The authority will review the application and decide whether to grant the authorization in accordance with the Compressed Air Ordinance.
If the review is positive, the authorization will be sent and the administrative fees will be charged.

- Authorization of physicians to advise and examine employees who work in compressed air and to treat and care for them on site at a compressed air construction site.
- Doctors apply for authorization in accordance with the Compressed Air Ordinance (DruckLV).
- Doctors must provide evidence of appropriate qualifications (occupational medical expertise, courses) and have the necessary equipment, personnel and premises.
