There are fees for carrying out a suitability test by a state adoption agency and for carrying out an international adoption placement procedure. The independent international adoption agency or the central adoption office of the state youth welfare office will provide information about the costs and support the process.
Further costs are incurred when adopting a child from abroad. These include costs for flights, accommodation, notarizations, translations of certificates and suitability reports as well as for sending documents.
