Would you like to extend your public appointment as an expert to include another specialist area?

If an existing public appointment is to be extended to include a further specialist area, proof of special expertise must be provided to the appointing authority in the same way as for the initial appointment.

At least two self-prepared expert opinions from the desired specialist area

Personal and professional requirements as for the initial appointment;

special expertise in the desired specialist area, proof is provided by means of an expert opinion and an oral examination

As with the initial appointment, the applicant contacts the appointing authority. The technical suitability for the new specialist area is examined by the relevant expert committee. Two expert opinions are usually examined. If these are free of defects, the applicant is admitted to the oral examination. After a successful examination, the appointment and swearing-in by the appointing authority takes place.
